Applications Open: Flight Operations & Dispatch Training Course – October 2026

Applications Open: Flight Operations & Dispatch Training Course – October 2026

Are you an aviation professional considering a move into Airline Flight Operations, Operations Control or Flight Dispatch? Or does your airline have operational personnel who require high-quality, structured ICAO/IATA-aligned training?

ASG is pleased to announce that applications are now open for a limited number of additional places on our upcoming Flight Operations & Dispatch Training Course, taking place at our Dublin training centre from 5–16 October 2026.

The intensive 90-hour, two-week programme is being delivered primarily for one of our airline customers, with a small number of places now being opened to participants from the wider aviation industry.

For almost a decade, ASG has provided specialist Flight Operations, Dispatch, Flight Time Limitations, Crew Control and Fatigue Risk Management Systems training to airline and aviation customers.

Our previous customers have included Aer Lingus, Norwegian Air, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, ASL Airlines, CityJet, Hibernian Airlines and DAS Private Jets, among others.

Who Is This Course For?

The ASG Flight Operations & Dispatch Training Course is designed for two principal groups within the aviation industry.

1. Aviation Professionals Looking to Move into Flight Operations or Operations Control

The programme is particularly suitable for people who already have an aviation background and are seeking to transition into roles within an airline:

  • Flight Operations Department
  • Operations Control Centre (OCC)
  • Flight Dispatch function
  • Integrated Operations Control Centre
  • Crew Control or related operational support roles

This may include pilots, cabin crew, ground operations personnel, aviation graduates and other aviation professionals who want to broaden their operational knowledge and move into an airline operations environment.

The programme provides participants with structured exposure to the principles, processes and knowledge that underpin modern airline operations.

Participants develop a greater understanding of how airline departments work together to support the safe, compliant and efficient conduct of flight operations, providing a strong theoretical foundation for those seeking to move into an Operations Control or Flight Operations career.

2. Airlines Seeking High-Quality Training for Their Personnel

The course is equally suited to airlines and aircraft operators seeking structured, high-quality training for their own Flight Operations, Dispatch or Operations Control personnel.

Airlines may nominate:

  • Newly recruited Flight Operations personnel
  • New Operations Controllers
  • Flight Dispatch personnel
  • Existing operational staff requiring recurrent training
  • Employees moving internally into Flight Operations or OCC roles
  • Operational staff undertaking continued professional development

The programme has been designed to meet the requirements prescribed by ICAO Doc 10106 and the relevant IOSA/IATA Standards, providing airline customers with a structured training solution delivered by experienced aviation professionals.

This makes the October programme particularly attractive for airlines that may only have one or two personnel requiring training and therefore do not require a dedicated in-house course.

Those personnel can join the scheduled ASG programme alongside participants from the wider aviation industry.

About the Course

The Flight Operations & Dispatch Training Course is an intensive two-week programme comprising approximately 90 hours of classroom training.

The programme has been designed to meet the requirements prescribed by ICAO Doc 10106 and relevant IOSA/IATA Standards Manual requirements relating to the training and continued professional development of Flight Operations and Dispatch personnel.

The course is suitable both for personnel entering Flight Operations or Dispatch roles and for experienced operational professionals who wish to consolidate, refresh or expand their knowledge.

Training is delivered in a structured classroom environment by aviation professionals with practical industry experience.

A Limited Opportunity for the Wider Aviation Industry
