We are thrilled to announce Ms. Megan McGrath as the inaugural recipient of the ASG ATPL Theory Scholarship.
Megan’s application shone brightly among a pool of exceptional candidates, showcasing her exceptional motivation, dedication, impressive personal achievements, and an unwavering passion for aviation. From working on the ground with Ryanair from the age of 18 to working as Cabin Crew with Aer Lingus to completely self-funding her own Private Pilots Licence (PPL) which she achieved by the age of 20 is impressive. We hope that this scholarship will give Megan the boost that she deserves to help her make it all the way into the flight deck in the future.
Diarmuid O’Riordan, ASG’s founder, noted: “We were humbled by the sheer number and quality of applicants for our ATPL Theory Scholarship that we have decided to offer the scholarship on an annual basis. We hope that the scholarship can encourage more inclusion and diversity within the flying profession and to inspire potential future applicants by showing them what options are out there in terms of receiving some assistance with training to make the airline pilot career more accessible to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity. We wish Megan the very best as she now embarks upon her ATPL theory journey which will bring her one step closer to her future job in the cockpit”.
